Gary Denniss

Gary is a retired school teacher who continues to spend his time and energy engaging in people- and relationship-centred community-building activities, particularly in Muskoka. He engages through conducting wedding ceremonies and celebrations of life (funerals); history-preserving writing and speaking; and numerous volunteer activities. And he approaches and accomplishes these engagements with a thoughtfulness, humour, adaptability and passion that only Gary can bring.

Among other accomplishments and recognition of his work, Gary is a recipient of the Lieutenant Governors Ontario Heritage Award for Lifetime Achievement in appreciation of his work to identify, protect and promote Ontario‚Äôs rich heritage. 

Gary also spends quality time engaging in family life with his wife, children and grandchildren.
